Liverpool make three changes

Wednesday, January 11 – 1939
Liverpool, who visit Charlton Athletic on Saturday, are introducing Fred Rogers at centre-half, Ron Jones at outside right and Harry Eastham at outside left. These changes compared with the team which defeated Luton Town are occasioned in two instances by injuries to Tom Bush and Berry Nieuwenhuys, the latter player suffering from a leg injury. Kemp has had a cold but he seems all right again. The team is: –

Dirk Kemp, Jim Harley, Bernard Ramsden, Matt Busby, Fred Rogers, James McInnes, Ron Jones, Phil Taylor, Willie Fagan, Jack Balmer, Harry Eastham.
