Liverpool almost scored in the first minute when, following a splendid movement by the forwards, a powerful shot by Harry Eastham struck William Fairhurst on the body and passed wide for a corner.
Bury replied, and a good-length centre from Wild have Ormandy a chance which he wasted. After 15 minutes Done opened the score for the home side following tricky work by Shafto.
Half-time: Liverpool Reserves 1, Bury Reserves 0.
Bury gained a corner on resuming, but the danger was cleared and a fine Liverpool breakaway for Done to test Fairhurst with a stinging drive. Davies (J.) equalised from a penalty.
Full time: Liverpool Reserves 1, Bury Reserves 1.
