Eddie Spicer, the Liverpool footballer, is now a member of the ground staff at Aigburth cricket ground. I met him during the week, assisting with the score-board.
Spicer, who is the former Lancashire and Liverpool schoolboy footballer, is one of the promising young men at Anfield, and he is following on his school-day success as a cricketer.
He said he had been three weeks at Aigburth and liked it. I fancy this lad, who is local born, will hit the highlights in soccer. He is a natural player, well-built and has the right ideas.
