Nine players with League experience are included in New Brighton’s team to visit Crewe Alexandra on Saturday. The other two are Frank Rawcliffe, who was with Liverpool, and 16-year-old Ronald Newstead, a Wallasey Secondary Schoolboy, who played in the reserve team three weeks ago.
New Brighton: Willie Hawthorn, Arthur Buxton, George Morris, Billy Wright, Steve Hughes, Les Turner, Horace Small, Frank Rawcliffe, Ronnie Dodd, Alf Ainsworth, Ronald Newstead.
