Some 155 entries have been received for the Powderhall 130 yards sprint to be run at Edinburgh on January 1 and 2.
J.H. Mitchell, of Letham, otherwise Jim Harley, the Liverpool footballer, is at virtual scratch with a handicap of 3 yards. The limit runs out to 20 yards. C. James, of Bebside, the winner last year, is back to 5½ yards.
