Here is some good news for Liverpool supporters. The Reds have arranged a match for New Year’s Day – and at Anfield. Arrangements have been made to bring forward their Western Regional game with Crewe Alexandra originally fixed for May 4.

Liverpool visit Preston on Saturday. They are trying to secure the release of several Army players, but have to wait for definite decision.
