In the air

Tuesday, February 6 – 1940
Mr. George Kay, manager of Liverpool, will have a talk with his directors today, and no doubt a probable team for the home game against Stockport County will be chosen.

Then, however, comes the task of securing the release of players needed.

One thing is certain. A deputy will have to be found for Matt Busby, who will be off to France with the Army team.

The Army tourists will be away a week, for in addition to the match in Paris on February 11, they will also play the French Army at Rheims and Lille.
