Liverpool have added to their professional staff by signing Dennis Cooke, the 18-year-old- Alsop Grammar School player, who is 6ft. 1½in. This signing was foreshadowed some time ago. Cooke has been playing splendidly with the Reserves, and is the Reds’ second wartime professional “booking.” The other was Billy Liddell. Cooke is studying for chemistry.
