Urgent operation for Cyril Done


November 2, 1941
Did you know that 24 hours after he had played in the local “Derby” against Everton, Cyril Done, Liverpool’s goal-scoring centre-forward, was rushed to Liverpool Royal Infirmary on Sunday suffering from appendicitis?

He was operated on immediately, and his condition is reported to be satisfactory.
