New football rule

Monday, August 10 – 1942
A new ruling has been decided on by clubs of the Lancashire Football Association. At the meeting held at Bolton Saturday it was decided to suspend the ruling which prevented a player playing for more than one club in the competition, with the proviso that the player must play for his own club if required. The entries close on August 26, and on the same day the draw for the first round, which will be on a regional basis, will be made.
