“Sportsmen’s Corner” in the BBC General Forces programme on Wednesday will have a distinctly Northern flavour to interest boxing and football enthusiasts. Managerial reminiscences will be given by Mr. George Kay, team manager of Liverpool F.C., in an interview with Mr. Donovan M. Kendall (“The Pilot” of The Evening Express). Mr. Kay claims the proud record of producing two international players from junior ranks during the war.
In the same programme Mr. Johnny Best, managing director of Liverpool Stadium, and one of the foremost personalities in the boxing world, will be interviewed by Mr. Victor Smythe.
