Fifer goes south to Liverpool

Thursday, November 5 – 1946
Off to Anfield to play trials for Liverpool Logan Mackenzie, much sought Fife amateur.
Tall, hefty, and 20, that’s Mackenzie. Centre half or right half, he has played for Burntisland Shipyard and several Fife junior clubs. A number of Scottish senior clubs have made him offers.

Mackenzie will stay in Liverpool for ten days. He will play two home games, and one with Liverpool A at Chester on Saturday.
