Appleby Football Club’s annual trip was held on Boxing Day, when one hundred members and friends enjoyed a coach outing to Liverpool. Leaving Appleby at 7 a.m., the party stopped at Preston for refreshments, and then proceeded to Liverpool and the football match: Liverpool v Manchester United.
Following the football match came a meal, and then to the Pavillion for the pantomime. The coaches arrived back at Appleby shortly before 3 a.m.
