  1. Gordon Hodgson was my Grandfather. I never met him, he died before I was born, but his son ( my father) is still alive, and remembers him coming home to die. My grandma Alice was his second wife and was very brave as after he died, her elderley parents moved in with her, as was the way in those days. We have the caps still. I was a student in Liverpool in 1983 and don’t know why but I never mentioned my Grandad to anyone, maybe I would have got an invite to Anfield. I love Liverpool though and am proud of the connection. He had a daughter from his first wife called Doreen who moved to Norway. If she is still alive she would be 90 years old or more. Rest in peace Grandad.
