A Scottish representative of Liverpool F.C. watched the Woodside v. East End Cup-tie at Linksfield Stadium last Saturday and was greatly impressed with the play of Ian Palmer and Angus McKenzie, left back and inside left respectively of the former team.
A report has been sent to Anfield, and an official of the club is expected to travel north to see them in action. He will also take the opportunity of making another bid for Jimmy Lornie, St. Clement’s goalkeeper, who has twice turned down offers from Liverpool.
