Ernest Pinkney, old-time footballer who played for both Everton and Liverpool prior to the first World War, comes back into the news this week-end. He and his wife are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary to-morrow, at their home, 31 Ringcroft Road, Old Swan. Although they are both well into their 70’s, this lively couple are still very keen on sport. They are active and enthusiastic members of Springfield Park Bowling Club.
