Liverpool are likely to play three pre-season friendly games as part of their build-up for the start of the League season on August 10, writes Michael Charters.
They arranged some weeks ago to play Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on Tuesday, July 30, to mark the opening of Tranmere’s new stand.
Now they have fitted in another game in the same week – on Friday, August 2 – when they will visit Hull City.
Negotiations are also taking place to play another friendly before their match at Tranmere.
It was hoped originally to visit Aberdeen but the Scottish club could not at time fit in with other commitments.
