A meeting of the committee was held last evening at the White Bull Hotel, Blackburn. The time of the suspension of Bury for violation of professional rules was reduced.
Originally they were prohibited from playing up to September 14th, but the date has now been altered to September 8th. As a consequence of this they will only lose one Saturday’s play at the beginning of next season.
A sub-committee was appointed to consider the revision of the rules, and upon their report being made the adjourned general meeting will be held.
The following new clubs have applied membership with the Association, and their applications are under the consideration of the committee: – Preston Hornets, Rochdale Clifford, Read, Royton, Farnworth Parish Church, Southport Central, Garstang, Springs Branch Rovers, Skelmersdale United, Southport L. and Y., Skerton, Clitheroe, Ramsbottom, Lancaster, and Colne and District.
