John Houlding one of three candidates

At a meeting of the Everton Committee of the Everton Division of Liverpool yesterday it was decided to recommend the names of Lord Cland Hamilton, Mr. John Houlding, and Alderman David Maciver to the divisional Council to select a candidate for the Parliamentary vacancy caused by the death of Mr. Edward Whitley.
