July 2, 1892
The Fairfield Football Club, Manchester, is to be formed into a limited liability company, with a capital of £1,000 in £1 shares. The club has secured a ground close to the Gransmoor Hotel, and two stands are to be erected, while accommodation will be found for 20,000 people. Increasing interest in football in a market degree is evidently looked forward to in Manchester.
