Amber and black for Barrow

September 3, 1892
The Barrow Association Club have got their house in order, and with the new blood, and plenty to choose from, the team should show itself to the front. Blackpool are the first to set the ball rolling at Barrow to-day.

Amber and black is Barrow’s new colour. They meet the new Liverpool team on the old Everton ground on Thursday next. Fenton, Steel, Saddington, Glen, Conway, Peacock, and Kenyon are amongst the eleven to do duty for the Furnessians.

Great regret is expressed that the late secretary, Mr. Wilcock, who has done so much to establish the game in Barrow, has been compelled to sever his connection with the club, of which he is still an ardent supporter.
