Darwen have secured a new player named John McKnight, who has a great reputation across the Border as a centre forward. He was orginally a member of the Hurlford team, but he has during the present season played for Middlesbrough. He is a very heavy man, a fast player, and a capital shot. He will play with Darwen for the first time on Friday, and will oppose the Scottish Internationals on Saturday.
