Fred Geary linked with Liverpool

With reference to the rumours which have recently been freely circulated to the effect that several members of the Everton League team intend to seek “fresh fields and pastures new” at the close of the present season, we are officially informed that they are entirely without foundation.

So far from that being the case, almost the whole of the present eleven have signed on for another season, and probably when next September comes round few alterations will be found in the construction of the team.

Fred Geary, whose name has been mentioned in connection with the Liverpool Club, will still remain with Everton, the directors of which club intend giving him a benefit match which has already been fixed to take place at Goodison Park on September 11, Bolton Wanderers providing the bill of fare.
