A meeting of the General Committee of the East of Scotland Association was held last night in the Association Rooms, George IV Bridge, EdinburghMr. J. Campbell presiding.

Mr. Marshall, the referee in the draw tie between the Heart of Midlothian and the Hibernians, reported that he had ordered H. Rooney off the field. He explained that Willie Michael was running after the ball, but, instead of playing it, he jumped at Rooney, for which a foul was given. Rooney got Michael round the neck in a fighting position.

Mr. C. McDonald said that explained what nobody else could understand. His proposal that they censure Rooney was adopted.
