A few lines on G.P. Dewhurst

February 7, 1895
Mr. G.P. Dewhurst, the old Cantab and Corinthian player, is a formidable forward, with much speed and considerable ability.

He was educated at Repton in 1888-1890.

In 1892, his second year, he was chosen to represent his ‘Varsity against Oxford, who were beaten by five goals to one.

In the same year he was of great assistance to the Corinthians, when they defeated Queen’s Park.

He has also helped the combined ‘Varsities against London, and has been in the Casuals’ team, which was defeated by Aston Villa in the English Cup tie.

He is also a member of the Crusaders’ Club.
