Spencer, the capable football player, who has gained such a reputation for judgment and reliability since he joined Aston Villa, is also a clever tennis player, and knows how to wield the willow, while, so far as indoor pastime are concerned, he is a cueist of some ability. It is understood that Howard Spencer contemplates retiring from football at the close of the present season.
