The Everton club has received the transfers of Alex Latta and Harry Mainman from their neighbours for a consideration, and people are wondering what their object in securing these men is. Latta has been a model professional all the time at Everton, and on Saturday week he looked as fit as ever. Mainman is a local lad, and many good judges think he has a promising future. He is a half back, but occasionally played centre forward, a position he fills very well. There are rumours of another centre forward from an amateur club in Scotland coming down, but the rub is which club will secure him.
