A largely attended meeting of the executive of the Lancashire Football Association was held at Blackburn last night, Mr. D. Woolfall presiding, the principal business being the draw for the cups. It was decided that the players representing Lancashire in the recent match against the West Riding should receive county caps, and that the Southport and District Charity Cup Association should be affiliated.
The draws resulted as follows:
Senior Cup, Second Round:
Preston North End v Everton; Liverpool v Bolton Wanderers; Manchester City v Chorley or Blackburn Rovers; Burnley v Newton Heath.
* To be played on January 23, on the ground of the first named club.
Junior Cup, First Round:
Astley Bridge Wanderers v Blackburn Park Road; Turton v Darwen Olympic; Skerton v Earlestown; Oswaldtwistle Rovers v Hindley; Hapton v Haydock; Rawtenstall v Horwich; Edgeworth Rovers v Little Lever; Padiham v Kendal.
