How good are the Liverpool Reserves?

Saturday, April 28 – 1900
A word as to the minor football. Liverpool Reserve finish champions of the Lancashire Combination, and Everton second string are third.

These teams are far too good for the company. They are good enough for the Second League; at times they would have beaten their seniors; and it is a pity they have no foeman worthy of their skill.

Why not a Reserve League for teams like these?
