Liverpool F.C.’s Tom Soulsby and John “Sailor” Hunter for Lancashire FA XI

A meeting of the Lancashire Combination was held at Blackburn last night, when the following team was chosen to represent that body in the match against the Birmingham and District League: –
George Kitchen (Everton), goal; Harry Ross (Burnley) and Percy Slater (Manchester City), backs; Benjamin Sanderson (Preston North End), Green (Everton), and Bill Archer (Bury), half-backs; Tom Soulsby (Liverpool), John “Sailor” Hunter (Liverpool), Arthur Dawson (Accrington Stanley), John Berry (Bury), and George Barnes (New Brighton), forwards.

To be played at Everton January 2.
