New colours for Third Lanark

Thursday, May 31 – 1901
The annual general meeting of the Third Lanark in Glasgow last night was a most harmonious function, chiefly owing to the sound financial position of the Club disclosed by the treasurer’s statement. After repaying levies to the extent of over £300 there was a balance on hand of £499. The secretary’s report stated that the team had played 47 matches, of which 14 were won, 18 lost, and 15 draw, scoring 86 goals to a loss of 91. The colours of the Club will in the future be crimson jerseys.

** Note the article said 44 matches, but 14+18+15 is 47 and not 44.
