Practice match open to the public


August 23, 1905
The final public practice match of the Liverpool Football Club prior to the opening of the season will take place at Anfield this evening, kick off at 5.45. An admission fee of one penny will be charged, and the proceeds devoted to the hospital funds. The teams will be: –

Reds: Ned Doig, goal; Alf West and Billy Dunlop, backs; Maurice Parry, Alex Raisbeck, and George Fleming, half backs; Arthur Goddard, Robert Robinson, Jack Parkinson, Sam Raybould, and John Cox, forwards.

White: Sam Hardy, goal; Charlie Wilson and David Murray, backs; James Hughes, George Latham, and John Hughes, half backs; Ellis Dudley, Robinson, John Carlin, Joe Hewitt, and James Garside, forwards.
Mr. J. McGill will referee.
