The management of the Liverpool Club – the League champions – have signed on a young and promising player in William Macpherson, who, born at Beith, Ayrshire, has represented Paisley St. Mirren during the last two seasons.
He is 21 years of age, stands 5ft. 10 ½in., and weighs 11st. Accustomed to play either inside right or left, he is reported to be both fast and tricky with the ball. Not a few English League clubs – Sunderland and Newcastle are particularly mentioned – have been after him, and Liverpool are being congratulated on securing his services.
