Good centres seem to be about as scarce in England as they undoubtedly are in Scotland, and following the departure of Chalmers to Woolwich, Blackburn Rovers have offered Greenock Morton £1,000 for the transfer of Tom Gracie. Nothing has been done, however, as, apart from the disinclination of Morton to part with the player, Gracie has no intention of leaving Scotland.
