Weaknesses need attention

Liverpool appear to be in a quiescent mood, and the reason why is by no means obvious. It is to be hoped that they do not intend to rely solely upon their present signed-on players to open next season’s campaign. There are several weaknesses that need attention, but up to the present the Anfielders do not seem to be making any endeavour to remedy these facilities.

The annual meeting is at hand, and I am afraid there will be many pertinent questions forthcoming. Really the Anfielders should bestir themselves, and show some appreciation of the generous support afforded them by the Liverpool public during one of the most unsuccessful season ever experienced in the club’s career.
