A hero from the Titanic comes home

Friday, May 17 – 1912
The body of Wallace Hartley the heroic bandmaster of the Titanic, was brought to Liverpool yesterday by the liner Arabic. The coffin was subsequently placed in a hearse to be conveyed by road to Colne, where a funeral with civic honours will take place to-day.
The dead man’s aged father met the liner, which also brought over two other Titanic victims, Allum, a passenger, and Lawrence, a steward.
