The Anfielders are gradually strengthening their ranks, and they are now turning attention to their attacking line. Their latest acquisition is Arthur Metcalf, from Newcastle United. He is a native of Sunderland, and played for North Shields Athletic before signing for Newcastle. Twenty-two years of age, he stands, 5ft. 7in., and weighs 11st. 3lb.
