Liverpool hold their second practice game

Friday, August 21 – 1914
This week-end will see much football for all over the country clubs are holding practice games. Locally there will be plenty for to-morrow afternoon at 3.30 the Everton players will make their first public appearance, and on Monday evening at six o’clock Liverpool will hold their second trial.
The sides for the second game at Anfield have been chosen as follows: –
Reds: – Campbell; Longworth, Pursell; Fairfoull, Lowe, Ferguson; Sheldon, Banks, Miller, Lacey, and Nicholl.
Stripes: – Scott (E.); Grayer, Speakman; Duffy, Bratley, Wadsworth; Bartrop, Metcalf, Macdougall, Hafekost, and Terris.
