At a meeting of the Football League Management Committee in London to-day it was resolved that in view of the shrinkages of gates it would be inadvisable to discontinue their scheme as suggested at the end of December.
It was decided to continue the percentages from gates, players, and staffs until 11 January, when the position will be reconsidered.
The scheme refereed to is that adopted by the first and second divisions early in the season whereby clubs pay a percentage of their gate money, and players and staff pay a portion of their wages into a common fund, from which grants are made to necessitous clubs.
