Speakman replaces Middlehurst at City

At Manchester City’s ground Speakman takes the place of Middlehurst, who is well, but is standing down so that Sam Speakman can have a game. Goddard’s continued absence leaves the centre half position to Wadsworth, and so the team reads: –
Ted Taylor, Ephraim Longworth, Sam Speakman, John Bamber, Walter Wadsworth, Donald Mackinlay, Ernest Pinkney, Wilfred Watson, Fred Pagnam, Arthur Metcalf, Tommy Cunliffe.
