The twenty-fourth annual report and balance-sheet of the Middlesbrough Football and Athletic Co. (Limited), to be submitted to the ordinary meeting of shareholders on June 7, intimates that the net proceeds of all matches played during the past season were devoted to charities, and the fact of receiving no income and having to make large payments for taxes, interests, etc., mainly accounts for the adverse balance which has necessitated increased bank overdraft.
Takings at charity matches amounted to £322 16s. The amount due to the bank is shown at £1,078 15s. 4d.
