December 31, 1918
It is stated that Liverpool holds the Ministry of Munitions traffic “record” for the United Kingdom, the staff of the Forwarding Office of the Ministry having handled 6,000,000 tons of traffic at Liverpool since the war began.

Mr. A.E. Fallowee, forwarding agent of the Ministry for Liverpool, states that in no other part of the United Kingdom had there been better co-ordination between port, steamship, and railway authorities.
