Building totally destroyed.
St Bede’s Church, Liverpool, which had a seating accommodation for 5,000 people, was totally destroyed by fire last night. It was concentrated in 1776, and was a handsome building in the residential portion of the city. The vicar saw his church in flames from a tramcar on his way home.
