It took a war

Tom Bromilow, the clever Liverpool and International half-back, graduated to Anfield by way of the Union Presbyterian F.C. and West Bathgate, though, like a good many present day players it took a war and Army football fully to develop his skill. He is a real Merseysider and the best of his career is that he did not cost the Liverpool club a penny.
