The death occurred yesterday of Peter Platt, the old Nuneaton Town goalkeeper, and landlord of the White Swan Inn, Market Place, Nuneaton, in his fortieth year. He was a native of Rishton, near Blackburn, and at the age of 16 kept goal for Blackburn Rovers. He was transferred to Liverpool, and later to Luton. In the 1908-09 season he came to keep goal for Nuneaton.
