Tranmere Rovers are determined to improve their team. In addition to securing Tom Boyle as coach, they have booked Tom Buchan, the Bolton Wanderers half-back (a brother of Charles Buchan, of Sunderland), and Frank Mitchell, the former Everton and Liverpool goalkeeper.
