Harry Chambers, the Liverpool footballer, failed in an action at Liverpool Assize yesterday to recover damages for being knocked down by a motor-car whilst riding a bicycle. He said through the accident he had lost his form, and after playing in seven games he had been dropped from the Liverpool team.
A doctor said he could not discover anything wrong with Chambers. His loss of form might be due to anxiety over the result of the action. (Western Daily Press, 08-11-1927)
