Hi
I’ve been told tonight that a first cousin, once removed of my wife played football. I’ve just seen this entry for the 1930 reserve Burnley V Liverpool which features a Bernard Lowery. Is there anyway that I can check whether it is the same one. Our BL was born Aug 16th 1907 in the West Derby registration area (likely to be Kirkdale or Walton).
Hi Andrew,
I will check with LFC official historian Jonny Stokkeland.
Kjell
Hi again,
I think I have found him in the ENFA (The English National Football Archives) database (www.enfa.co.uk).
Born: Q3 1907, Kirkdale.
Passed away: 1957.
Wing half.
Career:
Liverpool, 1930.
Rochdale, 1932.
Chester, 1932.
Southport, 1934.
Accrington Stanley, 1934.
Notts County, 1936.
Kjell
Thanks very much Kjell. I’m putting together a lot of information on this (until recently) unknown part of my wife’s family. It’s very unlikely that her father knew that he had 4 siblings from his mother’s first marriage. On my side I discovered father and son New Zealand All-Blacks.
Best wishes
Andrew Wood
