Dr James Ferguson, of “Sherwood,” Rishton, Rishton’s new medical officer, had a practice in Liverpool for twelve years, being medical referee to Liverpool Corporation Employees’ Guild and Dockers’ Union. For eleven years he was medical adviser to Liverpool Football Club. He came to Rishton seven years ago. Dr Ferguson is vice-president of Rishton Conservative Club and cricket club, and president of Rishton F.C.
