Liverpool yesterday transferred Archie Macpherson, their Scottish left half, to Sheffield United, for whom he will play against Brentford at Bramall Lane to-morrow. Macpherson, who is 24, years of age, joined Liverpool from Glasgow Rangers in 1929 as an inside forward.
